Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Prepare and maintain financial records, general ledgers, and accounting documentation for individual and corporate clients.
  • Examine accounting records and financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
  • Prepare year-end financial statements, working papers, and supporting schedules for client engagements.
  • Analyze financial information and provide recommendations to improve accounting practices, financial performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and review corporate, personal, and trust tax returns and ensure compliance with federal and provincial tax requirements.
  • Assist clients with budgeting, cash flow forecasting, financial planning, and business advisory services.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll records, and other financial transactions.
  • Support business incorporations, corporate filings, annual returns, and other corporate compliance requirements.
  • Liaise with government agencies, financial institutions, and clients regarding accounting, taxation, and regulatory matters.
  • Supervise and review the work of bookkeeping and accounting support staff, ensuring quality and timely completion of assignments.
