Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Maintain accurate financial records for daily business operations, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
  • Record and post journal entries using computerized bookkeeping systems such as QuickBooks and Excel.
  • Prepare and process payroll, including calculating wages, deductions, and employee payments.
  • Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and company accounts regularly.
  • Prepare trial balances, general ledgers, and financial reports for management review.
  • Calculate depreciation, track fixed assets, and maintain supporting financial documentation.
  • Assist with preparing HST filings, tax remittances, and other government-related financial documents.
  • Organize invoices, receipts, and financial records while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with management, suppliers, and external accountants regarding financial and accounting matters.
