Responsibilities
Tasks
- Maintain accurate financial records for daily business operations, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
- Record and post journal entries using computerized bookkeeping systems such as QuickBooks and Excel.
- Prepare and process payroll, including calculating wages, deductions, and employee payments.
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and company accounts regularly.
- Prepare trial balances, general ledgers, and financial reports for management review.
- Calculate depreciation, track fixed assets, and maintain supporting financial documentation.
- Assist with preparing HST filings, tax remittances, and other government-related financial documents.
- Organize invoices, receipts, and financial records while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Coordinate with management, suppliers, and external accountants regarding financial and accounting matters.
