Job description:
Location: 5000 Yonge Street Suite 1901, North York, ON M2N 7E9
Salary: $36.25 hourly/30 hours per Week
Number of vacancies: 1
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
Job Type: Permanent employment, Full Time
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and ensuring they are smooth and ready for finishing.
- Identify and repair surface imperfections such as cracks, dents, and holes to ensure proper finishing quality.
- Mix and blend paints to achieve the required colour, shade, and texture as per project specifications.
- Measure, cut, and install wallpaper and other wall coverings, including fabric-based materials, with precision.
- Provide guidance to clients on suitable colour schemes, paint types, and wall finishing options based on design needs.
- Set up scaffolding, swing stages, and secure rigging equipment to safely access elevated work areas.
- Apply paint, wallpaper, coatings, and other finishing materials to both interior and exterior surfaces with proper techniques.
- Prepare cost estimates for materials and labour requirements for painting and finishing projects.
Eligibility Requirements:
- 7 months to less than 1 year experience with painting residential or commercial spaces will be preferred
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required for this job.
- Strong English oral and written communication.
- Attention to detail, who has hand-eye co-ordination and is able to distinguish between colors.
- Good balance and physical strength as the job is physically demanding requiring bending,crouching,kneeling and standing for long hours.
- Advise consumers on colors and choice of wall coverings.
