Job Duties
- Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems and components
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical motors, controls, wiring, and related equipment
- Diagnose faults and perform corrective maintenance
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
- Replace or repair defective parts and components
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and regulations
- Maintain service and maintenance records
Employment Requirements
- Completion of secondary school
- Experience as an electrical mechanic or industrial electrician is an asset
- Trade certification is considered an asset
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Work Conditions
- Physically demanding
- Combination of standing, bending, and kneeling
- Attention to detail
- Overtime may occasionally be required
