Job Duties:
- Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods
- Hire staff as needed and manage their onboarding and training
- Track departmental or company performance, prepare reports for senior leadership, and recommend adjustments to schedules and policies
- Develop and enforce operational policies and standards, including safety procedures for handling hazardous materials, while ensuring compliance with transportation regulations
- Plan, coordinate, direct, and assess overall transportation operations
- Manage the budget for the company or department, including purchasing and resource allocation
- Supervise the dispatching, maintenance, and servicing of vehicles, vessels, or aircraft
