Position Overview

We are seeking highly experienced Tattoo Artists to perform specialized tattoo services within a structured, client-focused environment. The role requires advanced technical skill, extensive experience, and the ability to deliver consistent, high-quality results in accordance with industry and health regulations.

This is a high-wage position reflecting the level of expertise, specialization, and client demand associated with the role.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform professional tattoo services by applying permanent pigmentation using specialized equipment and advanced techniques
  • Consult with clients to assess needs and provide recommendations regarding design, size, placement, and color to ensure appropriate and safe application
  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize equipment and work areas in accordance with Alberta health and safety regulations and infection control standards
  • Prepare skin and safely apply tattoos using precision techniques while monitoring client comfort and safety throughout procedures
  • Maintain and follow strict health, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures at all times
  • Provide detailed aftercare instructions to support proper healing and reduce risk of complications
  • Maintain accurate client records, including consent forms and service documentation
  • Apply temporary designs or pre-treatment markings as required
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality personal care services in line with studio procedures and professional standards

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a professional tattoo artist
  • Demonstrated ability to perform advanced tattoo techniques with consistency and precision
  • Strong portfolio showcasing technical proficiency and specialization in:
    • Realism
    • Color realism
    • Surrealism
  • Experience working with a high-volume or specialized client base is required
  • Knowledge of infection control, sterilization procedures, and safe work practices
  • Experience working in a regulated or professional studio environment

Assets:

  • Participation in international tattoo conventions
  • Industry recognition, awards, or publications
  • Experience serving diverse or international clientele
  • Fluency in Spanish (asset due to client demographics)
