iRestify is seeking a dedicated and experienced Building Superintendent to join our team in the Greater Toronto Area. The Superintendent works under the direction of the Property Manager to oversee the administrative and maintenance operations of a building. The team is comfortable working together to ensure the highest standard of living.

Responsibilities:
- Perform resident service requests in addition to routine repairs and maintenance for in-suite, interior and exterior common areas
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance inspections of building mechanical systems and equipment, record readings and observations
- Contact and schedule the appropriate trades for repair of equipment, plumbing, electrical deficiencies
- Be available to handle tenant’s requests, concerns, and complaints with good customer service and follow-up if necessary
- Deliver notices to tenants as required
- Keep updated logs and manuals and ensure that all third-party contractors servicing the property are maintaining the respective log books in accordance with the determined schedules
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all electrical, mechanical and other work areas as well as Supply and Storage areas
- Supervise, mentor, and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance and cleaning staff.
- Thorough cleaning of building common spaces as required (there are full time cleaners as well)
- Handle move-in and move-outs inspections, coordinate service elevator bookings, pest control, parking passes, key distribution, recreation room bookings, outside service companies
- Available to residents for general inquiries about living in their suite, building and community
- Execute emergency procedures regarding fire, floods, and water leaks with expert knowledge.

Skills requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of building superintendent and maintenance experience, with a strong preference for candidates from multi-residential, high-density housing, or senior living environments.
- Communicate professionally in English
- Portuguese language is an asset
- Demonstrated basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing skills
- Knowledge and expertise with hand and power tools
- Ability to work outdoors, lift up to 25 kilos, and work at heights on ladders,
- Must be familiar with emergency procedures (fire flood and water leaks)
- Ability to handle stressful situations and make critical decisions.
- Address and resolve any patient or family complaints or concerns.
- Maintain confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy as well as positive attitude and effective interpersonal skills
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for multi-site travel.
- Willing to undergo a criminal background check and a Vulnerability Check for each team member working with us

Terms of employment:
Permanent Position of 30 hours per week
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Flexibility required: to work for on-call rotations, evenings, and weekends as operational needs require)
