Drywall Installer

 

Smooth Construction Group Ltd. is currently seeking 2 full-time Drywall Installers to work with their growing team. The candidates must be active, independent, and eager to learn.

 

Position Details:

Position:  Drywall Installer

Number of positions: 2

Terms of employment: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: $37.00 per hour

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Work location(s): Candidates are required to work at various job locations in Surrey (BC) and other areas in Lower Mainland (BC).

Job Responsibilities                                                                                                                                          

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings, perform calculations, and prepare layouts.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
• Finish surfaces of woodwork in houses and buildings, using hand tools and paneling.
• Work on new projects remodels, or additions to existing wooden structures.
• Build foundations, install floor beams and subflooring, build walls, and install partitions.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
• Supervise other construction workers.

 

Position Requirements

• Completion of Secondary School
• Completion of a 3-4 years apprenticeship program in a relevant trade or a Minimum of 3 years of experience in the trade is required.
• Ability to communicate in English
