We are currently searching for four experienced Drywall Finishers.
Work Location:
Various locations in the GTA
Duties:
- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
- Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
- Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster
- Clean and prepare surfaces
- Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
- Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
- Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
- Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
- Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
- Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
- Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
- Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms
Applicants must be able to demonstrate extensive taping and plastering experience.
You will be required to train apprentices.

- 2-3 years of work experience in finishing drywall

Terms of Employment:
Permanent Position/40 hours per week
Hours of Work:
From Monday to Friday
The shift is from 7 am to 3 pm
Salary:
$ 37.91 per hour according to Local 675
