Skills Requirements:
- Education: Completion of secondary/high school graduation certificate
- Work experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience is required as a retail store supervisor or cashier at a gas station
Job Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of cashiers and attendants to ensure efficient operations across the gas station and convenience store
- Assign duties and prepare work schedules for cashiers and attendants to ensure proper staffing levels and smooth service during all hours of operation
- Authorize payments and manage returns of merchandise, ensuring compliance with store policies and customer satisfaction
- Address and resolve customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages promptly to maintain high levels of customer service and operational efficiency
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels by ordering and replenishing products such as snacks, beverages, lottery tickets, tobacco, dairy products, and scoop ice cream. During the summer season, also oversee inventory for fresh prepared foods such as sandwiches and fruit cups to ensure adequate stock and minimize shortages.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to support business decision-making and optimize store performance
- Hire, train, or arrange training for cashiers and gas station attendants, and monitor their performance to ensure consistent service quality
- Ensure the store’s visual standards, including product displays, signage, and cleanliness, are maintained to create an inviting shopping environment
- Support the team by performing cashier and gas station attendant duties when necessary to maintain service levels
- Perform key holding and managerial duties as required, such as opening and closing the store, managing escalated complaints, developing marketing strategies, and signing for deliveries
