Responsibilities
Tasks
- Perform welding and fabrication work on truck bodies, frames, trailers, and related components using MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
- Inspect damaged truck parts and determine appropriate repair methods, ensuring structural integrity and safety.
- Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using hand tools and welding equipment.
- Repair cracks, breaks, and wear in heavy-duty truck frames and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to complete repairs accurately.
- Ensure all welding work meets industry standards and safety regulations.
- Maintain and operate welding tools and equipment, performing routine checks and minor maintenance.
- Work closely with mechanics and technicians to support overall vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with workplace safety policies.
- Follow all occupational health and safety procedures, including proper use of protective equipment.
