In Home Caregiver (for elderly)

Employer: private household

Work location: Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada, V2T 5J2

Salary: $24.50 hourly

Hours: 30 to 40 per week

Education: completion of secondary school

Experience: 0 to 6 months of experience, a college diploma will be an asset

Language: English

Start date: as soon as possible

 

Job duties:

• Assisting client in personal hygiene such as bathing, dressing and grooming
• Accompanying client on doctor’s appointment/ social events
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment
• Giving client medication
• Facilitating/assisting client daily activities
• Conversation and companionship
• Light housekeeping and laundry 
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Assist in exercising
• Collect specimens
