General Supervisor – Building Construction (Evenings & Weekends)

Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and direction for construction crews performing interior build-outs and finishing work
- Oversee day-to-day site execution, ensuring work activities align with approved plans, schedules, and quality expectations
- Organize and assign work to trades, apprentices, and labour personnel based on project needs and skill levels
- Coordinate site operations with project managers, subcontractors, and external consultants to prevent delays or conflicts
- Monitor progress against timelines and proactively adjust work plans to maintain schedule commitments
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement practical solutions to improve site performance
- Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available when required by coordinating procurement and deliveries
- Conduct routine site inspections to verify workmanship, safety compliance, and housekeeping standards
- Enforce company safety policies and regulatory requirements, promoting a strong safety culture on site
- Participate in incident investigations and corrective action planning when necessary
- Support the onboarding, mentorship, and ongoing development of site personnel
- Provide input into hiring decisions, performance evaluations, and workforce planning
- Maintain accurate records including daily logs, safety documentation, and progress reports using construction management software such as SiteDocs
- Address site challenges, design changes, and unforeseen conditions with sound judgment and timely decision-making
- Represent Vestacon professionally in all on-site interactions with clients and stakeholders
- Assist with project close-out activities, including deficiency resolution and final inspections
Employment Requirements
- Completion of secondary school
- At least 1+ year experience as a foreman
- Fluent English language (oral and written)
- Tickets/Certifications (First Aid, WHMIS, Fall Protection)
- Must have access to own personal vehicle
- Valid G driver’s license
