Overtime: 1.5 times regular wage after 8 hours per day and 44 hours per week, as per Alberta Employment Standards

Job Duties
The Retail Store Supervisor will perform some or all of the following duties:
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of retail sales staff in a specialty chocolate and gift retail store
- Assign sales duties, including chocolate sales, gift basket preparation, packaging, and seasonal merchandising displays
- Ensure high standards of customer service by guiding staff in product knowledge, upselling techniques, and personalized gift recommendations
- Authorize returns and exchanges and resolve customer complaints in a professional manner
- Monitor inventory levels of chocolates, confectionery items, packaging materials, and gift supplies; requisition merchandise as required
- Oversee proper storage, handling, and rotation of perishable chocolate products to maintain freshness and quality standards
- Train staff on point-of-sale systems, food handling procedures, company policies, and customer service standards
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluation of retail sales staff
- Prepare sales reports and provide input to management regarding sales performance and customer trends
- Ensure store presentation, visual merchandising, and cleanliness standards are maintained
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations
Employment Requirements
- Completion of secondary school
- 1–2 years of retail sales experience in a fast-paced environment
- Previous supervisory experience is an asset
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods
