Each store is a locally owned, independent location. The Grande Prairie location is one of the bigger stores of the City Furniture group and is considered a ‘flagship store’. We are seeking an experienced Office Administrator to manage advanced administrative, accounting, and supplier-claim related functions at our Grande Prairie location.
Job Summary: This position shall also provide remote administrative and accounting support to multiple related store locations within the company group. Due to the complexity of duties involved, relevant experience with national appliance suppliers (such as Whirlpool, GE, LG, Samsung, Electrolux, Frigidaire etc.) is an essential requirement for this role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and perform administrative services including records management, data entry, document control, and reporting.
- Perform daily cash reconciliations and month-end financial reconciliations.
- Maintain accounts receivable, post customer payments, and prepare customer statements.
- Prepare and process payments to vendors, utilities, and service providers.
- Handle GST, PST, and corporate tax remittances.
- Receive inventory and prepare inter-store transfer invoices.
- Process supplier credit claims, Return Authorizations (RA), discounts, and credit memos & warranty claims for the Grande Prairie location and other stores of the City Furniture group (remotely, from the Grande Prairie location).
- Communicate directly with national appliance suppliers and manufacturers to resolve discrepancies related to credits, shortages, damaged goods, and warranty claims.
- Register customer warranties and track parts orders.
- Maintain company vehicle fleet records, including insurance and registration compliance.
- Prepare operational and financial reports using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Provide remote administrative and accounting support to other store locations as required.
Employment Requirements:
- Must have minimum 1-2 years of administrative, office and customer service experience with a national appliance manufacturer or supplier(such as Whirlpool, Samsung, LG, Frigidaire, or similar).
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of Return Authorization (RA), discount, and credit procedures used by national-level appliance suppliers (such as Whirlpool, GE, LG, Samsung, Electrolux, Frigidaire etc.).
- Office administration experience.
- Accounting knowledge and experience (basic training will be provided to suitable candidates)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities across multiple locations

- Early morning, Evening, Morning, Day, Weekend
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 37 per week
