Job Requirements
Languages:
English
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Work setting: Automotive manufacturing, Building construction materials

Tasks

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and technical specifications to analyze job orders and determine machining sequences, material requirements, tooling selection, dimensions, and tolerances prior to production.
  • Set up, program, adjust, and operate CNC machining equipment using machining software and controllers such as Mitsubishi controllers, Beckhoff Industrial controllers, and Lantek Ermaksan Expert Cut, with a strong working knowledge of G-code programming.
  • Compute, measure, and verify dimensions and tolerances of machined parts, and lay out workpieces in preparation for machining or assembly using precision measuring instruments.
  • Monitor and operate CNC machines concurrently during production to ensure accuracy, quality standards, and production timelines are met.
  • Fit and assemble machined components and machine parts to close tolerances, ensuring conformance to engineering specifications.
  • Verify product dimensions and conformity to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Document and report deviations from specifications or tolerances and maintain inspection records and inspection reports as required.
  • Monitor shop-floor material and tooling readiness by coordinating replenishment, verifying received materials meet job requirements, and ensuring production continuity.
  • Operate lifting and material-handling equipment to load and unload raw materials and finished components safely.
  • Perform routine cleaning, inspection, and light preventive maintenance of CNC machinery to support safe and efficient operations.
