Job Duties:
- Assist physiotherapists and physicians in the assessment and treatment of patients
- Assess patients’ physical abilities and functional limitations under supervision
- Administer evaluative tests and procedures using appropriate equipment
- Instruct patients on test procedures and record accurate results
- Monitor, check, clean, and calibrate therapeutic and testing equipment
- Assist health care professionals during examinations and treatment sessions
- Help the medical examiner or supervising therapist as required
- Develop and distribute patient education and informational materials
- Maintain accurate prescription and treatment records
- Take and record patients’ general medical history
- Prepare treatment and collection areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety
- Clean, maintain, and prepare equipment and supplies for daily use
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment according to standardized safety practices
- Order, organize, and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
- Process files, paperwork, and patient documentation
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
- Perform general clerical and administrative duties, including reception and telephone support
- Manage routine office functions and patient flow
- Process insurance claims, including health insurance and workers’ compensation claims
Requirements:
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years
- 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word for scheduling, documentation, reporting, and professional communication
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail in record-keeping and administrative tasks
- Client-focused, with excellent oral and verbal communication skills and strong English proficiency
- Highly organized, flexible, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Reliable team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and administrative staff
Location: 550 Ebenezer Rd #7 Brampton, ON L6P 2R2
Salary: $36.30 hourly / 30 hours per week
Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
