Job Duties:
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily dispatch and logistics operations to ensure efficient routing, on-time pickups, and deliveries across all assigned routes.
- Coordinate and monitor driver schedules, loads, and fleet availability to maximize productivity while ensuring compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Ensure smooth operation of dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, communication equipment, and other operational tools used by dispatch and drivers.
- Resolve operational and routing issues in real time, provide technical and logistical guidance to dispatch staff and drivers, and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Train and mentor dispatchers and drivers on company policies, safety procedures, customer requirements, and the effective use of dispatch systems.
- Conduct regular performance reviews for dispatch staff and drivers, identifying training needs and implementing corrective actions where required.
- Assign, coordinate, and review dispatch work to ensure workload balance, accuracy in documentation, and adherence to delivery timelines.
- Liaise with customers, brokers, maintenance teams, and management to address service issues, equipment availability, and operational planning.
- Requisition and coordinate ordering of dispatch-related equipment, communication devices, and operational supplies to support uninterrupted trucking operations.
Requirements:
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year or equivalent experience
- 1year to less than 7 months of relevant experience
- Proficient in MS Excel for scheduling, reporting, and data tracking
- Strong working knowledge of MS Outlook for professional communication and coordination
- Proficient in MS Word for documentation, reports, and correspondence
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail in dispatching and record-keeping
- Client-focused approach with the ability to maintain positive customer relationships
- Excellent oral and verbal communication skills with strong English proficiency
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and operational demands
- Reliable, dependable, and committed to meeting deadlines
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with drivers, dispatch staff, and management

Salary: $36.25 hourly / 30 hours per Week
Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
