ANET Fiber Tech Inc. is hiring a dependable Building Handyman / Maintenance Worker for our Wetaskiwin, Alberta location. This is a permanent, full-time, on-site role in a rural work environment. You will perform general building maintenance, cleaning, minor repairs, and groundskeeping duties while working independently with minimal supervision.
You will:
Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs
Operate industrial vacuum cleaners and remove debris and refuse
Empty garbage and waste containers
Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings
Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems
Carry out minor appliance repairs
Conduct safety and security checks
Move furniture, equipment, and supplies
Perform routine maintenance such as painting and drywall repair
Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
Water and maintain plants, lawns, and gardens
Remove snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
Contact licensed tradespersons for major repairs when required
Work with minimal supervision
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
1 year to less than 2 years of related experience
Ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and written)
Ability to work on-site in a rural environment
