Position Description

 

Position: Siding Installer

Type of employment: Full-Time

No of positions: 2

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible

Work Location: Various locations in Surrey & other areas of Lower Mainland (BC).

 

Salary and Benefits

 

Salary: $36.00 to $38.00 per hour

Overtime and Vacation Pay

Stable & full-time employment

Referral Bonus: $1000.00 CAD (for current employees of Harji Exterior Finishing Ltd)

Relocation Assistance: $1500.00 CAD (for qualified candidates coming from different cities, provinces, or regions).

 

Job Responsibilities

 

• Determine the appropriate layout and installation method based on blueprints and work order specifications.
• Install and set up scaffolding and other working platforms, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Mark and measure guidelines to facilitate precise and accurate installations.
• Prepare the underlying surfaces for installation and perform minor repairs if needed for an extended installation lifetime.
• Install siding as per specifications and schematics for buildings using hand and power tools.
• Cut and trim material to shape when fitting sides around windows or corners, using a knife, shears, or portable power saw.
• Adhere to project specifications and schematics, installing siding using both hand and power tools.
• Conduct final quality checks to ensure that the installed siding meets all project specifications.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions about improving efficiency and the quality of work.
• Keep the worksite clean and orderly during and after the project completion.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment and coordinate with other trades on-site.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

 

• Some work experience in trade would be an asset but not mandatory.
• Good communication skills.
• Willing to work outdoors, indoors, and in all weather conditions.
• Fitness and stamina to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to quality.
