Salary: $36.00 hourly / 30 to 35 hours per week

Languages: English
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification
Tasks
- Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of commercial transport trucks and trailers to identify faults and malfunctions.
- Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts and components of truck, trailer, and automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, driveline, braking, and suspension systems.
- Perform computerized engine diagnostics and electrical diagnostics, and complete repairs based on diagnostic results.
- Repair, replace, and install automatic and manual transmissions, clutches, and drivetrain systems.
- Conduct scheduled and preventive maintenance services to ensure safe and efficient vehicle operation.
- Install, repair, and replace tires on trucks and trailers as required.
- Perform welding and fabrication work related to truck and trailer repairs and modifications.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems used in commercial transport vehicles.
- Complete service reports and maintenance records to document inspections, repairs, and work performed.
