  • Assess children's development and support individualized learning plans
  • Plan and implement programs that foster physical, emotional, cognitive, and social growth
  • Lead activities including storytelling, crafts, music, and outings
  • Support daily routines such as meals, rest, and hygiene
  • Observe and report on children’s behavior and development
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment
  • Communicate with parents regarding progress and concerns
  • Supervise and mentor assistants, trainees, and volunteers
  • Assist with housekeeping, snack preparation, and record-keeping
  • Ensure compliance with childcare regulations and health standards
  • Collaborate with staff and community partners to support children
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to program planning
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educator assistants

Languages

Education

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

  • 1 to less than 7 months

On site

  •  Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Supervision

  • 5-10 children

 

Term of Employment: Full-time Permanent Position (37-40 hours/ week)

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses 

  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
