Responsibilities
Tasks
- Inspect machined parts and tooling to ensure they match required dimensions.
- Read and follow engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Use precision tools like calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges.
- Check surface finish, alignment, and overall product quality.
- Document inspection findings and maintain accurate quality records.
- Identify defects or deviations and report them to the production team.
- Work with machinists and engineers to correct issues and prevent repeat errors.
- Verify that tools and equipment are within calibration limits before use.
- Approve finished parts that meet company and customer standards.
- Support continuous improvement by suggesting ways to enhance quality and reduce errors.
